Construction on the Lewis Street Bridge began summer of 2017 and was substantially complete in early fall of 2017. The existing bridge was replaced with a new upgraded structure that is wider and more pedestrian friendly. The project is anticipated to reach final completion spring of 2018 as Cannon Builders are waiting on weather to finish installing the guardrail and railings on the residential stairs and bridge wing walls.
